hehehe

So I decided on my TV. I am going to get Samsung 37" 720p LCD model LN37A450, also I have decided that I am going to be upgrading my DVD player with the TV to a blu ray player. I figured what the hell. Might as well. I'm going to have a HD TV might aswell us it right?

So my work, is hard up for new customers. So they made a deal with us, they will give us 5 bucks for every new customer that we sign up for our HomeSmart plan. The only kicker is that they are going to give it to me in a gift certificate so its not taxable. Which is good, not complaining about that. But i think I am going to have to by the TV from crutchfield now. Again no big deal, shipping is free and its 100 bucks less there then at bestbuy. So I guess my point is that when we are all said and done, my work is going to be paying for a little more than half of this new tv and blue ray player. Which by my count is THE SHIT. YAY 50% off.

Isn't it pretty. I am super excited!! :)

random update

So yeah, update time. Somethings to talk about.

Amy (my sister) is prego and found out that she will be having a boy. YAY so excited. I get to be an uncle all over again. Very exciting for everything. Anna is such a sweet girl, I love her to death but the baby boy will want to do boy things with me and that will be awesome.

The mustang is sold. :( When we got it back from St Paul. were it died we had Ambers brother in law come over and check it out. Turns out that when I had Kennedy change the tranny fluid. That should have never been done. There was 1/4 inch of metal shavings on the tranny pan when we dropped it. The gears were grinding and wearing them apart. So I sold it to Nick (ambers bro in law) and he put a new tranny in it. It worked great for about 2 weeks and then I here from Amber that its broken down. Apparently the oil pump went out so he is going to have to replace that and the piston rings. Rebuild time. So glad that I don't have to deal with that. It sucked having to sell it but that made me a little happier about it. I love that car but it was starting to be a money pit. He wanted it as a project car anyway.

Ok, so now I don't have a car, right? Wrong, I purchased the buick from my dad. It was the best used car deal that you could imagine. I drove it for 3 years prior to purchasing it so I already know what it does and doesn't do. its maintenance history and all that. Plus I got a pretty good deal on it so yeah. Works out.

Halloween has come and gone. It was awesome. Brian and Tyler threw a party at there place so we went there after going to the halloween party at the bylands. Yummy pizza burgers. Brians party was very interesting. He got really really drunk and was funny until he got sick. We took good care of him though. I was a cop and catherine was a watermelon. She drank watermelon pucker all night. It was very cute. I will have to upload pics later.

NAP - I picked up a 2nd job working at Network Access Products Inc. I am a Tier 1 help desk Tech for Select Comfort. HAHAHA I know. I will never get a way from that company, no matter how hard I try. This job is fun money for me. I am going to get a new laptop (as mine is busted) getting a new TV (for the digital conversion) and other misc things I might have my eye on. I was looking at this sweet 37" Samsung LCD 720p TV it was very sexy. Only time will tell I guess.

Well I guess that brings us current. Oh Catherine and I are still living with her mom. Thats actually going pretty well. Its gotten better. I think that the joining of 2 families in one house hold was strange but we just needed to get used to each other. Plus now that I work 50+ hours a week, and Catherine is starting school soon, and when we have a spare minute we go to snap to work out. Oh and RCIA every Wednesday night. We are never there anyway. Holy crap I forgot to update on RCIA. I have decided to convert to become Catholic. I think that it will be better to have a one faith family instead of the kids being raised Catholic and not me. I am currently going threw the classes and it ends the day before easter. That should be fun. Its not been to insteresting so far. But they have to start from scratch with most people. Because there are people that are not baptized in my class. I will start to learn more as time goes on I think.

Until later.

trip to duluth 2008

So we have this friend, she and her husband are awesome. Sonja and Lars. They for our wedding present bought Catherine and I a one-night stay in a hotel. We went to Duluth this past weekend. Technically the hotel was in Procter. The Americ-inn. It was awesome, we got a king jacuzzi suite. Ok, to tell this story we should start from the beginning of the weekend.

Friday – Started ok, woke up like any other day. That day though I was taking a half-day off work so that I could come home, so Nick (ambers brother in law) could come over and fix the mustang. So I work and I leave at 1:30, which is awesome. Get home about 2 and started some laundry so I could pack for the weekend. Nick comes and he starts on the car. I in the mean time am in the garage working on filling the holes in the sub-box that I got from Tyler. I get done with that, Catherine comes home and we are packing for the weekend. I get curious and go down to talk to Nick, just to see what's happening with it. He gets the pan off and is looking at the filter. He had originally thought that it was the filter and it had fallen off and the tranny lost pressure, which is why it wasn't working at all. We soon found that was not the case. He was going to put it back together because we were not sure that the problem was. Until he was looking at the tranny pan. There was about 1/8 of an inch of metal shavings on the bottom of it. Bad news my tranny is shot. Needs to be rebuilt or replaces. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. So the weekend was not off to such a good start.

After the last load of laundry is done, I finish packing and we get all set to go out for dinner with Annah, Jeremy, and Brain. We went to Denny's that was good. Then we went back to Brain's for a fire. Not too long and Tyler joined. Kyle eventually came too. We went home, with the intent of going to sleep and waking up early to get on the road up to Duluth. Well that didn't happen as we would have liked it. We got going about 10ish.

Once on the road it was great. The leaves are changing on the way up there and there are a lot of scenic things to look at while driving. We stopped at North Branch outlet mall to see if anything was good. We didn't get anything. Nothing was going on there, except the attack of the ladybugs. Seriously there were at least 2 trillion ladybugs. Yes I counted them. LOL… so any way that sucked, but we got back on the road.

We get up to Duluth and we were going to go to the zoo but they were doing this stupid Halloween thing were there were going to be about a million little kids running around and I didn't want to deal with that. So we didn't go. We went to the boardwalk instead. We went to Grandma's for lunch. There was a 45-minute wait, but there was immediate seating upstairs so we went with that. Big mistake, the upstairs has 1/3 the menu (according to Catherine) so yeah, it was ok but not great. After lunch we went for a walk on the boardwalk. Then it was time to check in at the hotel so we went back to do that. After we check in we get the room all situated, we decide to go for a swim. So we get changed and we head down to the pool. Well we are playing around in the pool and we see a giant hot tube so we got in to that thing. Then there were these strange people that were in the sauna and they came out and got in the hot tub with us. They kept throwing towels in the water. Very strange. So after that we went to dinner at the restaurant attached to the hotel. Awesome, top 5 steaks of my life. Catherine had cedar plank salmon. Which looked very good. After that we went to the gas station and got some snacks and drinks for that night. Then went back to the restaurant but to the bar this time and had a drink. Then we went back the room were we used the jacuzzi and watch some TV. It was very nice end to that day.

In the morning we woke up and went to get the free breakfast that they had. It was badass. They had a waffle maker and cereal, and muffins and bagels and stuff. Best continental breakfast every, well that I've had anyway. After that we cleaned up in the room packed and checked out. We were on the way to Duluth so we could on our cruise. Catherine had pre-booked us on the Vista King boat. That was very cool. They took us out behind a tanker in to lake superior. Then turned around and got a tour of the commercial part of Duluth harbor. We got a lot of cool pictures. After the tour we went to red lobster for lunch. Something about being out on the water made me hungry for seafood. We had shrimp. After finishing up with lunch we went up past st. scholastica, to go shopping at miller hill mall. We wondered around for a while and didn't really buy anything.

For dinner Catherine wanted to go to Pizza Luce. That was good we had wings and pizza. Was pretty good. After dinner we decided to head home. After we got to about Hinckley. That's when things got interesting. So we were just driving a long minding our own business when just up ahead there was this lady and she was speeding up and slowing down, swerving all over the place. Half the time she was driving down the middle of both lanes. So we decided to call it in. Catherine is talking to the state patrol on the phone and this chick in an s10 almost hits someone. We are following this person and the dispatcher has a squad on the way. So a couple minutes later I see this car coming up pretty fast. I move over and it flies past me. Gets right up behind the s10, has to wait for it to do something then pops on the lights. I feel kind of bad, but just kind of for calling it in because we totally just screwed that ladies night up but, she shouldn't have been drinking and driving. We could have saved someone's life by calling it in.

Well that was my weekend. It was a very nice get away with enough things that happened to keep anyone interested. I am putting pictures up on facebook. I would do it here but this post is long enough already.

Photo Dump

Just a random update with pictures.

We went to T-Asia for dinner. I was really good. I had chicken stir fry that was really good.

Catherine had King Crab pad tai. It was good aswell.

This sign is hanging on the wall in the D Michael B's restaurant in Alexandria. I thought it was very funny. Picture worthy.

This is me working out. Sexy huh. I thought so!! :) Just proof I guess.

So, the mustang stopped shifting on my way home from work one day. So it sat over night in a bar parking lot in st paul. The next day we rented a tow dolly and brought it back with the van. Thought I should document.

Just me eating my tasty dinner.

Hope you guys enjoyed this dump. Maybe I'll post something more interesting if I feel like it.

update

We continue to go to the gym. The original plan was to go 3 times a week. We are averaging 5 times a week. I am not seeing much of a weight loss at this time but I am physically stronger and I feel more energized throwout the day so that's positive. I am down about 5 pounds since about 1.5 months ago when we joined. Kevin is helping me a lot with lifting. On days that I don't lift I am doing about 1 hour of cardio which I do on 3 machines the elliptical, bike and treadmill. I think I just need to get my metabolism back in order, then I will start to loose some pounds.

Other than that Catherine and I went to the fair on Saturday. It was awesome. They had chocolate covered bacon which regardless of how it sounds tasted AWESOME. Salty and sweet the perfect mix. Kevin was working at the Hannasch's snow cone stand so we went to see him while he was working. It was fun to see him working. He gave us a free snow cone. It was yummy but I think that I might have liked them more as a kid.

Thinks are going pretty good other than that. Life in the basement is going pretty good. I've been trying to catch up on some movies, working them in when I am not at work or snap. We are coming up on Dad's birthday, which is unbelievable because it can't be September already!!!

Its almost the end of an era

So I was cleaning out the buick today to give it back to my dad. Kinda sad but kinda not at the same time. I am going to miss it. Not miss driving it so much but miss the memorys that I have in that car.

Oh well I'm over it. I have lots of memory's in the mustang too.. More to come with memory's.

YAY mustang!

I think i can!!

I think that I will update its been long enough to warrant one. So were to begin. I got the mustang fixed again. I guess it was a loose wire or something so yeah that works and I have been driving that for the last couple days or so. Its pretty good so far. I need to get a couple of cosmetic things done to it. Other than that its great to be driving it again.

We had a pot luck at work yesterday! It was good. most everyone brought something to share. I made general tso's chicken to bring, it was awesome. Totally worth the 2.5 hours it took to make it. Today though I got bored and grabbed a stack of HomeSmart magnets and was playing around with it. I wanted to make something that they would leave up in the office so.. this is what I came up with.

Other than that nothing is really happening. Today was Jackie and Gregs anniversary. Sad day for them. She is at my mom's house hanging out doing whatever it is that they do when they get together. Tomorrow night we head up for the cabin. Looking forward to that. It will be good to get away for a couple days. I'll try to update up there or once I get back.

random

So yeah, about that. Just a quick update. Nothing too special just a random little blurb.

Nothing is new really, still getting used to living in the basement. Going to be doing a oil change on the pontiac tomorrow. There is a pretty sweet wireless guitar at walmart that I want to get that has 2 sets of light up buttons. It looks like a fender.

thats it i guess. ttyl.

yesterday

Yesterday was pretty productive. woke up went to work. drove home. Cut the front yard and the back. Had some awesome cheese hot dogs for dinner. Catherine and I unpacked almost all of the rest of the stuff that we brought here. Couple of more things to bring to Amy's. Other than some stuff to hang on the walls we are done. Now we just have to get everything were we want it :). Catherine cleaned the kitchen, did dishes. Washed the floors in the kitchen and the living room, and vacuumed a bunch. I felt good about what we got done.

Last weekend we went to the cabin. Days 11, 12, and 13 up there this year. It was a good time. We headed up there after work on friday night. The pontiac was getting just about 30 miles to the gallon. I am very pleased with that. We did some fishing. This time Catherine got the biggest sunny. It was bigger than my hand. I would guess about 1/2 - 3/4 of a pound. Biggest one that I have seen in a long time, if ever. We swam on sunday. That was really fun after I got in. The water was really cold. I am not going to lie I was being a baby about it.

We went to dinner on saturday night at bennigens. That was nice then afterword we went to see the Dark Knight. That movie is totally awesome. I want to see it again. I think that I will wait until it comes out thou. 2.5 hours is a long time to sit in a theatre not wanting to go to the bathroom :).

update

Ok, So a lot has happened since my last update. I really wish that I had access to this website from work then I would be able to update all the time. I do not unfortunately, and I forget most of the time.

Ok heres a run down. My life was normal until the 4th of July weekend. We went camping with Amy and Mike. We get there unpack and have a fire and go to bed. The next day was good ( the 4th) we went swimming, ate a bunch of campfire food, and hung out and had a good time. Saturday came around with us needing to go to the hospital because Greg was there with a fever again. We get there and its a tad bit more serious than we had thought. Turns out that he is bleeding from his liver and his blood counts are so out of wack that he can't clot. The doctors were nice for the most part. The nurses were pretty good except for one. She was a b word. Any way they couldn't stop the bleeding of his liver. It eventually put enough pressure on his chest that it stopped his breathing ( i think ). That was monday 7-7-08.

Tuesday we hung out with Jackie and Kevin for a while, then went back to the apartment to start packing. Thats right we moved again. We are officially out of the ghetto. We did move, however in with Jackie, Kevin, and Kelly. I am ok with this and think that it is the best choice for the family. Strength in numbers, ya know. So we moed on and off for the next 2 days. We get the whole basement at Catherine's parents house. Its pretty cool.

Thursday was Catherine's Birthday. She had decided not to celebrate it this year. With very good reason. I don't think that I would have either. It really wasn't fair that I got her dad for my birthday and she didn't. This was also the day of the wake. It was pretty nice. A lot of people ended up coming out. Bethany made picture boards and a picture video. Both were awesome. I did end up taking Catherine out to dinner but spirits were not that high, but at least we went out.

Friday was the funeral. That was very nice. it was at Epiphany. Also a lot of people came. There were a bunch of flowers and everything that made the church extra beautiful.

Well Thats it for now I guess... I will try to remember to update later. I will possibly edit this laster to be more descriptive but i have to go to work now.

In loving memory!

Cabin

We are at the cabin. Its in Alexandria, Minn. This place is so great. Right on lake Victoria. We came up friday night and are leaving today Sunday at about 6. What a great weekend. I am sitting out on the deck, enjoying the sun. We got back from fishing not too long ago. We are having a fish fry for dinner tonight. Yesterday we got about 8 sunfish, 7 crappies, and 1 large mouth bass. That is what we kept but we caught much more than that. Oh and I had a about 2.5 pound northern in the boat but when I went to put it with the rest of the fish in the net. I flopped and got away. Which was too bad that would have been nice. Today we went out first thing and Gene (catherine's grandpa) was murdering the sunnies left and right. He had about 8 keepers before Kevin and I even had one in the boat. That wasn't great because we were in the same spot, using the same bait. just different ends of the boat. I guess thats all it take sometimes...:( Catherine today caught about a half pound crappie. So proud of her for that. It was the biggest crappie that I have seen come out of a lake in a long time. We ended up with about 13 sunnies and 5 crappies today so we are going to fry all those up for dinner tonight. Catherine is sitting out here with me, well I guess that I can't say that.. she is more laying down with her eyes closed. Well I guess thats even glorifing it. Lets call it like it is.. She is sleeping!!! This has to be one of my favorite places in this state. I wonder when we will be back up here? Well I have to get going, we have to finish cutting the grass so its all set to go for when the Hannasch's come up next week. Lucky they get the whole week up here. That was nice when we did it, I wish we can do it again soon.

Bye all

Wedding

---May 10th 2008---

The long awaited wedding day! Ok so here is my account of what happened. Not sure what time it was but I woke up in the morning and Catherine was already gone getting her hair done and misc getting ready stuff. I take it easy for a little bit played a little guitar hero 3 and relaxed. Went down stairs and was hanging with Dustin one of the neighbors. I got ready to go and grabbed my tux when dad and Mike got there to pick me up. Got to the church and everything was going fine. I was not nervous at all. Got up in to the grooms room to change clothes. Got out of the street clothes and started in on the tux. The first time I can account for wearing a tux. It wasn't that bad except for the shoes. Those sucks major. Mike (my best man) came in to the room to help with the minor junk like cuff links and my bow tie. We get all ready and then it was time to grab a snack. Greg and Jackie brought some sandwich stuff and potato salad. It was pretty good. Oh, a point that I should make that needs to be remembered is that Tyler was to the church early. Before I was. I was pleased and amazed. My guys and I went in to the lobby and meet and greeted the guests as they started to arrive.

I'm not going to lie. The ceremony went by way too fast. My memory of it is kind of a blur. I remember walking my parents down to there seats then waiting up front for Greg to Bring Catherine down. Then I remember sort of seeing the shocker but not really sure from tyler. Then walking back up the isle with my wife by my side. Then rushed right in to sign the marriage lisence. I am really glad that Catherine's uncle got it all on video. I need to watch it so I can remember more clearly what happened.

We went from Epiphaniy to the Legion post #303 were the hall was that we rented. That I remember. It was SO much fun. actually I think thats that most fun that I can recall having duing anything. We partied until like midnight then got in the car and drove to downtown anoka to the ticknor bed and breakfast. Where after that we went up to the cabin for our honeymoon. I'll do another blog about that later. Later mc

Cabin

So we are at the cabin right now.. Just got here. The pontiac was getting about 25 or so miles to the gallon. That makes me pretty happy about that. Kevin is sitting next to me on the couch at the cabin. We are going to go fishing tomorrow. That should be fun. Hopefully I catch more fish than last time that I was here. I know that I should have made a couple of posts, but I have been lazy and haven't but I promise that I will... but not right now. Well I spose kevin is bugging me to use the laptop so I will go now and right more later.

Love to all....

Mr and Mrs Rieschl

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Rieschl! They were married on March 5th 2008. At the north gardens at the Como Zoo Conservatory. They get back from there Honeymoon Cruise today! I hope they had fun...

The Wild Game

We got free tickets to the wild game the other night from work. It was awesome. First time I have ever been to the Xcel Energy Center. HomeSmart has season tickets and we got them for the wild game on March 13th. They played the New Jersey Devils. It went to over time and a shoot out. It was fun. There was a fight and it was a good one. They beat the hell out each other, very interesting to finally see that in person and not on tv. Well enough about that.. How about a picture.

Its been awhile

So yeah, I guess the title says a lot. Its been a while, and for the record having no internet access sucks... MAJOR!!!! Well for at least the next few hours until comcast comes tomorrow we have no internet so I am connecting when I can connect to some other persons really slow interweb. Well other than that we are moved. Took FOREVER but we did it. I like it better here. We are closer to everyone. It was a trade though because now we have to drive a little while to go anywhere like target or whatever. But its better. I really need to get to the mustang and get that out of the garage so it doesn't get towed. We need more fish! The people downstairs are strange! anyway I think i'll go because I have started to ramble..... blah blah blah. I may or may not be tired.. I am going to go with may!!! haha bye bye

3 weeks and a new phone!

Its been 3 weeks since I've started at Xcel and at the beginning of this week I started on the phones by myself. Its going well. Everyday its getting easier. Also thought that i would put a pic up my desk.. this was first day it looks a little different now.

Also Kelly (marketing person at Xcel) got this in the mail, I cut it out and put it up over the wall... It looks over the printer.. Its awesome it freaks people out all the time. HAHAHA

Tomorrow after work on the way home I am going to stop by AT&T and get a new phone. Its upgrade time on the contract and I am going to get a new cell. Its about time. Its been 2.5 years i've been using the razr and its time to move on. Its been pissing me off lately anyway. Restarting while I'm in the middle of talking to someone. Not ringing when I get a call or text and the reception is getting worse. I am going to get a Samsung Sync. I believe they call it charcoal or black. It will be good times. I'll post after I use it to let you know how I like it.

Thoughts to ponder for 2008!!

Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die.

Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day, teach a person to use the internet and they won't bother you for weeks.

All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to Criticism.

In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is Weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

T & S & S

So, its been a week and a half at Xcel. Everything is going very well. I believe that they are going to putting me on the phone at the beginning of next week. Which is going to be ok I think. I think that I am comfortable enough with the program and the systems that they are using that I can do it. I don't have any issues with talking to people on the phone. Crabby people are my specialty from Select. I will post agian after the beginning of next week with how that goes. Now on to more important things, ok maybe not important but funnier.

So I'm pretty sure that Guitar Hero 3 is the best game ever! well for Wii anyway. I have beaten this game on easy and medium difficulties. I can't seem to be able to get a handle on hard though.. I think though that its annoying catherine. I really need them to sell the guitars separately. So I can unlock some more songs also be able to jam out with friends. They also should open up new songs to be able to be downloaded.. that would be the shit!

New Job!!!

Today I started a new job! YAY... I am working for Xcel Energy Homesmart. Well technically I work for Jean Thorne, but its at Xcel. Its a appliance repair plan that xcel has for people. Kinda like Service plus if your fimilar. Its in downtown St. Paul so I have a little drive in the mornings but whateves. Today was fun. I was learnng about what I will be doing when I on my own out of training. I have my own desk and I don't have to Share with anyone. Thats awesome. I'll take a pic and get it up here when its cleaned up. The dude that had it before I left it in kinda a mess so.. not blog worthy right now. I also learned that no matter were you work your computer never works when you get there and you always have to call the IT guy to get it to work. ITs all good! Actually there is only one thing that I don't like about it so far and that is that I don't have my security badge yet and its a pain to get in to the heavily secured building but that will change very soon... Well until pics.. Later

3rd Anniversary

Ok, Jan 4th was Catherine and My last "dating" anniversary. Were getting married on May 10th so its the last one before we start with the Wedding anniversary's. It was my job this year to plan the festivities for the day. Well Catherine worked in the morning. I picked her up for her lunch break and we went to put the deposit down on the new apartment that we are moving to. Dropped her back off at work to finish for the day. Went home to take it easy for a while. When she got home from work that day we both just chilled around the house for little bit. I had made reservations at Bennihana, so we got ready for dinner and headed out. I have never been before so it was very fun to see the chef doing all of his crazy things. Although at times he was hard to understand. I ordered steak and lobster and Catherine ordered teryaki beef. He made the onion volcano. It was very cool for us to see him do that and all of his crazy stuff they do with the knives and the spatulas. After dinner I wanted to go to a movie but Catherine and I were both sick and coughing a lot so we didn't go. We instead rented a movie and enjoyed each others company at home for the night.

New Years

So it's a new year 2008! WOW, it hardly seems possible that its 2008 already. Were did the last year go? Well I really couldn't tell you but I can tell you how it ended. Catherine and I ended up at a party that Paul was having. I was really fun. People in attending were: Brian, Brain's sister, Jeremy, Annah, Tyler, Johnny, Adam, Amber, Paul, Catherine and Myself. Oh and Kyle stopped by for a little. So we ended up over there about 9p and helped set up for the night. People started rolling in, Amber fell off pauls very icy steps. Pauls house is very nice. It was surprisingly clean, later to lean that the maid had been there that day. Geez i wish i could have a maid. So anyway we had some drinks played some holdem and ate some pizza. We did manage to watch the ball drop this year, then turned off the tv because of how annoying it was to watch all those people sell out. We did end up playing some Hack in the garage. It was a pretty good night. Oh and paul ate like 25 truffles....
